ACI Fall Convention

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is a nonprofit technical and educational society organized in 1904 and is one of the world's leading authorities on concrete technology. ACI is a forum for the discussion of all matters related to concrete and the development of solutions to problems. ACI conducts this forum through conventions and meetings; the ACI Structural Journal, the ACI Materials Journal, Concrete International, and technical publications; chapter activities; and technical committee work. The ACI holds a fall and spring convention. The fall convention will be held from November 8-12, 2009 at the Marriott New Orleans.
The convention is known for great networking opportunities and for providing information on the the latest concrete technology and practices. Technology and educational committees also meet to develop standards, reports, etc. in order to stay on top of the industry and to keep up with the ever-changing concrete industry. The convention is expecting 1,300 delegates to attend where they can enjoy the many seminars, sustainability and green building events and much more. Special events include student and young professional networking, sunset on the river jazz dinner cruise, and a contractors' day lunch. There will be numerous big name exhibitors including BASF, CMEC and more.
